Shani Alsop, Speech Pathologist

Shani Alsop
After graduating from the University of Queensland, Shani commenced work at AEIOU Foundation, where she worked within a multidisciplinary team providing early intervention to children with autism. She gained experience supporting late-talkers, providing early language intervention and implementing low and high tech forms of AAC.
Shani is passionate about providing evidence-based family-centred practice. She has a dynamic approach to intervention, tailoring therapy to the needs of each child and always seeking to create a comfortable and fun learning environment for families.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Speech Pathology from the University of Queensland
Shani has specialist training and qualifications in the following areas:
- High and low tech AAC devices
- Picture Exchange Communication Systems (PECS)
- Hanen ‘More Than Words’ – Parent program for ASD or social communication delay
- SoundsWrite synthetic phonics literacy program
- Key word Signing
